Lakshdham Playmate Pre-school is a ‘State – of – the Art’ school, housed on the second floor of Lakshdham High school. It is managed by Goenka and Associates Educational Trust.

The school was inaugurated on 9th June, 2008 with a strength of 476 students.  

The school follows play way method of teaching. The curriculum is planned by keeping in mind the needs of Preschoolers and society and also the changing trends in teaching methodology. The school has already carved a niche for itself in the city map of Pre-schools.

Lakshdham Playmate Pre – School is spread over 17 well-lit, well-ventilated and spacious   classrooms over looking the beautiful landscape and serenity of Aarey Colony- a right ambiance for young minds.

The school takes care to foster the development of aesthetic, social, emotional and physical skills of its students. The School has provision for a shadow teacher (in-house counsellor) to take care of special children who need special attention.

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Under section 12.1(c) of Right to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009 our school invites 25% Application for Nursery Admission from "children belonging to disadvantages group & economically weaker sections" of the society:


Disadvantaged Group:

(i) Scheduled Caste & Schedule Tribe.
(ii) Child with disability of more than 40%

Economically Weaker Section Whose Parent's / Guardian's Annual Income is below One Lakh Rupees:

(i) V.J (Vimukta Jatis) & NT (Nomadic Tribe)
(ii) S.B.C. (Special Backward Classes)
(iii) O.B.C (Other Backward Classes) (iv) Other Religious minorities specified by State Government.

GUIDANCE & COUNSELLING CENTRE

The Trust set up a State of Art Counselling Center in Yashodham High School building to provide help in the area of mental health.
The centre is being looked after by a team of Psychologists, Counsellors, Remedial Educators, Occupational, Speech & Language Enchancement Therapists and a Psychiatrist.
The Centre practices HYBRID of TRANS-DISCLINARY and INTEGRATED model for intervention.
